New Hair, Outfit Of The Day and Starbuck Pumpkin Spice Latte!

Hi guys, just a quick one to show you my new autumn/fall inspired hair colour and my latest "trend" obsession.

This is what happens when you are bored and have a spare box of hair dye, lol.
In all seriousness I've been planning to go red for a while but have had to do it gradually because if I had have put red on the platinum blonde hair I had back in march I'm pretty sure it would have gone pink!
As usual I used my tried and trusted L'Oreal Casting Creme Gloss in shade 460 Cherry Red and I'm really pleased with the results, slightly darker than what I imagined but a lovely tone that bright but not too in your face.
It's strange because naturally I am a dirty blonde but I feel more me when my hair is a fiery scarlet and it's made my skin tone and eye colour look brighter.

Moving on to my latest fashion obsession, khaki and camo, I literally cannot get enough of it!
I've decided that my winter coat is gonna be khaki but I just haven't found one I like yet despite having looked in every shop on the high street  and online.
My sister on the other hand thinks I've lost the plot and taking style inspiration from Sonya Blade out of Mortal Kombat, haha.

Lastly it's autumn which mean Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte time and up until now I've not been a fan! I had one today just to see what the fuss is about and I finally get it!
I don't know what happened but this time round I had it made with a single shot of coffee and no cream and it was delicious so it's safe to say it will be taking over my daily cappuccino!

Thank you all for reading and don't forget to comment and subscribe.

Foundation Friday: Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation

It's no secret that I'm a big fan of Charlotte Tilbury make-up line and as a general rule I'm very rarely disappointed, I don't particularly get on with her skincare line but everything else I've tried  I've either really liked or loved.

So as you can imagine I was super excited about the launch of the Magic Foundation and took myself to my local counter on launch day to buy myself a bottle. I matched myself to shade 4.5 as I wanted something that would work right now while I still have a tan from holiday but also wouldn't be too dark  of a tone so I could use it in the winter months too.
I know I should have tried the product on my face to see if it suited my skin but I was on lunch break, in a rush so I swatched it on the back of my hand to see if I like the texture and coverage and 5 minutes and £29.50 later I have a new bottle of Magic Foundation in my hands!

It completely pains me to say this but me and this little one don't get on, at all!!!
I could tell almost immediately that I was going to have problems because as soon as it touched my skin it started to burn, not badly but enough for me to notice. I applied it my usual E.L.F Stippling Brush and it went on so patchy, I switched to a buffer brush but it made no difference.
While it did even out redness it didn't manage to cover a couple of tiny breakouts around my chin and the finish looked flat and dull, it seemed to make my skin look drier and accentuated any flaky patches.

It started getting shiny within the first hour and before I'd even made it to lunch it had completely come off around my nose and had started to "pool" around my pores and just generally looked and felt greasy, I couldn't wait to wash it off.
When I did was it off I noticed a couple of tiny new whiteheads and my skin texture just felt less smooth and not as even.
I tried it two more times after that with different primers and setting powders but it still did the same so I think it's safe to say that this is not for me!

On the back of the box:
A full-coverage, demi-matte, long lasting foundation. Enriched with hyaluronic acid, laricyl and the concentrated power of vitamin C. Skin is moisturised, dewy and pores are minimised.

If you are more on the dry side and like quite a dewy finish then this might be the foundation for you but if you are oily/combo give this one a miss and try their Light Wonder instead.

New Product Launch: CHANEL Wear It Your Way

Hi guys, today's post is on Chanel's latest new release: Wear It Your Way!
The collection focuses on complexion and re-promotes two of their best selling foundations alongside a new powder, a buffer brush, two blushers and a new limited edition highlighting powder that everyone will go crazy about.
I will say it now, if you want to get your hand on the highlighter don't wait two weeks to "think about it" because it will be sold out! Don't say I didn't warn you.
Overall I really do like the collection and I'm really pleased that they've thrown two new blushers in the mix.
So without any more of me rambling lets move on to the pictures and swatches!

Nothing new here, just a re-promote of two of Chanel's most popular foundations:
Vitalumiere Satin Smoothing Fluid Makeup £36 - A light to medium fluid foundation with a fresh and luminous finish perfect for a drier or dehydrated complexion.
Perfection Lumiere Long Wear Flawless Fluid Makeup £36 - A medium to full coverage foundation with a natural matte finish more suitable for a normal to oily or combination skin type. Coverage stays flawless for up to 15 hours wear time.

Poudre Universelle Libre Natural Finish Loose Powder in 130 Beige Lumiere £36 - Same formula as the regular Poudre Universelle but in a new luminous beige shade.

Infiniment Chanel Highlighting Powder £42 - The star of the collection, this is the kind of product that you buy and don't use because you don't want to ruin how it looks. I can absolutely guarantee that this will sell out first and it's limited edition so if you want one you need to be quick.
It's meant to be an highlighter but I'd say it's more of a brightening powder as the finish is pretty much matte, on me personally it doesn't show up so I think it's more suited to a very fair complexion.
I tried to swatch this one but I could not get it to show up in pictures.

Joues Contrast 208 Golden Sun £31 - I absolutely adore this blush, it's amazing! In the picture above and on the swatch it doesn't look like it but it's literally pure rose gold goodness and it's super pigmented, what's not to like?

Joues Contrast 270 Vibration £31 - The perfect warm pink, this is the kind of pink you will love if you are very yellow toned like myself, it's pink but with an hint of coral.

Day Light

2-in-1 FoundationBrush Fluid & Powder £38 - I've not had a chance to actually try this as there where no testers on counter but in general I'm not a big fan of short bristled buffer brushers. For some reason I find they make my foundation look quite heavy and un-natural so I prefer a stippling brush, however I will update this post if I get the opportunity to play with this little one.

CHANEL Wear it Your Way releases nation wide this Friday.

Tag: Would You Rather Beauty Edition!

Hello guys, I'm back with a fun little tag for you all! Probably never gonna be in the position where I'm actually forced to choose but it really makes you think what you would choose if you really had to.

1. Would you rather go out with messy hair and nice makeup or nice hair and no makeup?
I constantly go out with messy hair because I cannot style it myself properly so that "choice" is a no brainer.

2. Would you rather shave your eye brows or have your eyelashes fall out?
I'd have to have my eyelashes fall out and use falsies, I couldn't handle having to completely draw in my eyebrows from scratch.

3. Would you rather be forced to shop at only MAC or Sephora for the rest of your life?
I live in the UK and we unfortunately don't have a Sephora so I guess I would have no choice but to shop at MAC.

4. Would you rather wear lipgloss/lipliner look or 80's perm?
I'll take the "chola lip look" any day over a poodle perm, thank you!

5. Would you rather leave the house with an obvious foundation line or overdone blush?
Overdone blush, nothing worse than being able to see where your foundation starts and ends.

6. Would you rather wear MC Hammer pant or biker shorts in public?
Biker shorts, they aren't that bad.

7.Would you rather have a bad orenge-y spray tan or really weird tan lines that can't be covered?
Weird tan lines obviously, no one wants to look like an oompa loompa.

8. Would you rather have a bad haircut or a bad hair colour?
I'd rather have a month long flu than either of those! Bad hair colour because I've had several bad haircuts and let me tell you they are not fun!

9. Would you rather have Youtube or Twitter taken away forever?
I could quite easily live without Twitter.

10. Would you rather give up using makeup brushes or mascara?
I'd give up using makeup brushes because I literally have no lashes if I don't use mascara.

Please feel free to post you versions of this tag in the comment section and don't forget to subscribe, thank you!
